又或者说是一种不祥的预兆?
- omen (n.) 1580s, from Latin omen "foreboding, augury," supposedly from Old Latin osmen; a word of unknown origin. Attempts have been made to relate it to the root of audire "to hear" [OED], to PIE words meaning "a sighting," and to a PIE root meaning "to believe, hold as true" (source also of Greek oiomai "I suppose, think, believe").
